11 Crafts for Preschool: The Letter L

Here's a list of 11 crafts for preschool — all featuring the letter of the alphabet L.  Of course you don't need to practice more a couple of projects to teach a letter of the alphabet — merely I love to provide a big resource of craft ideas for you.  Thankfully, my kids enjoy making them!  And since I accept three kids doing the crafts, they can choice and choose which ones they want to practise.

one- Hand & Footprint Lobster

This was my favorite, and the kids' too.  They loved stepping into the red paint and making a footprint.  And so they advisedly made two handprints for the lobster claws.  The adjacent day they took out their black markers and decorated.  This idea was from Crafty-Crafted.

2- 50 is for Ladder

Sometimes the best letter craft is short and sweet.  The kids glued a behemothic letter L to paper and drew a ladder.  The basic idea is from No Time for Flashcards (check her site for a different way to do the project).

3- Viscous Lamb

My 15-month onetime doesn't have any concept of letters all the same, merely he is big plenty to start doing very basic crafts.  I loved this idea from B-Inspired Mama.  I simply taped some sticky contact newspaper onto the window, drew a lamb with a Sharpie, and gave my 5 the bag of cotton assurance.  She gave them to her little brother one by i.

4-  Lemon Print "L"

I bought a few lemons, cut them in one-half, and gave the kids white paper.  Theyloved printing with lemons.  The next day we cutting the papers into giant letter of the alphabet L's.

v- Ladybugs Climbing an "L"

I used my circle cutter  (love that thing!) to prepare a stack of cherry-red circles for the kids.  Afterward gluing downward light-green rectangles to make an L, they glued down the circles and busy them to resemble ladybugs.  It was tempting to just display my Five'due south project in this mail service, only you should encounter that the kids don't always "get into" each project.  They might exist tired, disinterested, or just having a bad day.  My 4 actually enjoyed it, but then near the cease he decided to starting time scribbling out his ladybugs.  I am tempted to get very frustrated by this sort of thing (and sometimes I practise :(), only it'due south important for me to just let go.   Call up that the crafts should not be about the finished production but nigh the kids enjoying the process and learning forth the manner.

The kids dipped legos into paint and made prints on paper.  The legos were very easy to clean upwards — I just rinsed off the washable paint and prepare them out to dry.

8- Lion Face Pasta Craft

Okay, could you take guessed what this was without the title?  My husband couldn't tell it was a lion.  I guess itdoes kind of await like a behave with a mane.  Oh, well — the kids enjoyed information technology!  We got the directions from Kiboomu Kids Crafts.

9- Laundry on a Line

I was surprised by how much all the kids had fun with this one.  Perhaps because they were dreaming of the day when it will finally be warm plenty to hang out our clothes?  It'southward been aloooong wintertime and a dreary spring!   The thought is from Preschool Crafts for Kids.

10-Handprint Lion

We made the handprints on the first day and fix them out to dry.  When we returned to the craft the next day, my Five didn't want to finish.  "The strips are too long. It's non pretty. Information technology won'tlook similar a panthera leo."  This did not deter my boys, even so, and they had fun calculation manes to their handprints… although I'grand notquite sure what my 2 was doing.  Putting the strips in a circle was a little difficult for him.  For me to footstep in would have been to do it for him, so he did it his own way.  Sometimes that produces the cutest effect. 🙂 The idea is from Sweet and Lovely Crafts.

11 – Painted Lollipop

If you're looking for a verycracking style to do a painting projection, this one's for you lot.  I ready out the poster board ovals, squirted on some paint, and covered them with plastic wrap.
